Meet the staffThe group is an expanding organisation of collaborating dental practices owned solely by dentists who do not have to answer to shareholders
The Group is not a corporate group and so has the advantage of not having to answer to shareholders.
Working together as a group is beneficial to dentists, staff and patients alike, particularly since it allows much greater opportunities for career development, staff training and Clinical Governance.
We regularly organise “in house” courses to allow all the members of the dental team to train together. This is particularly valuable since modern dentistry is becoming more and more sophisticated and wide-ranging. The full scope of care and treatments can only be provided by a team fully qualified and experienced in the latest techniques.
All dentists in the group are fully committed to continuous professional development and are actively involved in peer review and clinical audit. This enables them to share ideas and update together on latest techniques and recognised best practice as part of their commitment to Clinical Governance.
Dentists and dental nurses are able to collaborate to readily arrange professional cover to allow them time away from the practice to attend a wider range of postgraduate courses and clinical attachments to enable them to acquire special training and develop special interests. This allows dentists within the group the opportunity to discuss specific cases with a colleague who has developed a special interest in that field and readily refer patients to colleagues who have gained extra knowledge and expertise in specific aspects of dental care.
Environmental Responsibility
For dental Centres being environmentally responsible is an integral part of our ethos.
We are actively working with all our employees to develop policies which encourage our staff to reduce their contribution to pollution and become part of the solution rather than the problem.
Dental Nurse Training
All dental nurses working in dental practice have to be registered with the General Dental Council or be in training leading to a recognised qualification. The group has always been committed to dental nurse training and has a training arm, West of England Dental Nurse Training.
