Welcome Zahraa
Tiverton Dental Centre were pleased to Welcome Zahraa Al-Shamary to the practice in August of this Year, we hope she thoroughly enjoys her year with us.
Welcome back Sahar
We would like to welcome back Sahar Dadbakhsh to Cullompton Dental Centre following her maternity leave. We hope she is settling back in well.
Congratulations to Sara and Gary
Also on the subject of babies, we would like to send out our huge congratulations to Sara Shear and her husband Gary following the birth of their first baby on 12th October at 4.15 pm weighing a healthy 7lb 1oz. They have called her Isla Louise and we’re pleased to report all is going very well.
Fred Leach - 40 years with TDC
We have a special congratulations to Fred Leach who has been working in Tiverton for 40yrs this year. I think you’ll agree that’s quite an achievement and we hope he has many more years left yet!
Commando Challenge 09
For the 2nd year in a row a group of our nurses and members of their families took part in the Commando Challenge on October 11th 2009 to raise money for the Devon Air Ambulance Trust and Help the Heroes. A very fun and muddy time was had by all and a total of £800 has been raised so far! Well done to everyone who joined in and let’s get in training for next year’s challenge!
New Practice
We are pleased to say that our new practice in Newquay, which was opened in March 2009, is doing extremely well and is very busy. It now has 3 surgeries up and running with a total of 3 dentists and one therapist.
Dental Practices Awarded Membership of the British Dental Association Good Practice Scheme
All of our Dental Centres have all been awarded membership of the BDA Good Practice Scheme. The Tiverton, Cullompton and Holmead practices have become the only ones in all Mid-Devon to have received the awardt. The scheme is designed for Dental Practices to show their patients that they are committed to working to the highest quality standards. Member practices are required to provide evidence of compliance with 102 separate requirements and continuous updating and this is all independently administered by the British Dental Association.
