Meet the Dental Centre staff

Fred Leach BDS DPDS (Bristol)

Fred qualified at Bristol University in 1964. He bought a practice in Fore Street, Tiverton in 1969 and worked there until 1984 when he left to study for a postgraduate certificate in education. The practice was taken over by Bruce Pearson who had a practice elsewhere in the town.

Fred taught for 12 years eventually becoming Head of Biology in a Somerset comprehensive school. He returned to dentistry in 1996 joining Bruce Pearson at Tiverton Dental Centre.

Since returning to practice Fred has achieved the Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies. He is still involved in education, being a vocational trainer for young dental graduates and a partner in West of England Dental Nurse Training providing education for dental nurses. In his spare time he enjoys skiing, camping, country sports and spending time with his eight grandchildren.
